  INTERNATIONAL TENDER

The Kenya sugar Board invites tenders from eligible candidates for Design, Construction, Supply, Installation, Testing, Training, Commissioning and Handing over of Nine Number Cane Testing Units at Nine Number Different Cane Buying Centres in the Republic Of Kenya as a turnkey project.

The Tender documents can be obtained by any interested tenderer upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kenya Shillings 1,000/= payable to our accounts office in cash or Banker’s cheque. Candidates are advised that the fee does not include postage charges.

The Tender documents can also be viewed and downloaded free of charge from the Board’s website: www.kenyasugar.co.ke. Bidders who download the tender document from the website must forward their particulars immediately to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , for records and any further clarifications and addenda.

Interested candidates may obtain further information from the Head of Sugar Technology and the Procurement Office.

Completed tenders should be submitted accompanied by a tender security issued by a reputable bank or insurance company so as to be received on or before Friday 27th June, 2014 at 11.00 a.m.  Failure to provide tender security will lead to disqualification of the tender.

Prices quoted shall be inclusive of all duty and taxes and shall remain valid for 90 days from the closing date of the tender.

Pre-tender site visit by tenderers or their representatives will be on 3rd, 4th & 5th June, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. The Pre tender site visits timetable is contained in the Tender document.

Tenders will be opened at 11.30 a.m local time at the Kenya sugar Board Headquarters Board room, in the presence of tenderers/ representatives who choose to attend the opening. Late tenders shall be rejected.

Kenya Sugar Board in collaboration with Nzoia Sugar Company Limited, South Nyanza Sugar Company, Muhoroni/Miwani Sugar Company (In Receivership) and Chemelil Sugar Company invites eligible tenderers for Annual Tenders and prequalification/registration of suppliers for supply and delivery of various  categories of goods, works and services for the financial year 2014/15/16 as indicated in the attached document.

a) Provision of Insurance Brokerage Services Tender No. KSB/5/2014/15

b)  Registration of suppliers to be included in the Kenya Sugar Board

      Suppliers’ list for the financial years 2014/2015 as listed here under:

 1. KSB/T/6/2014/15 Supply of General Office Stationeries. Youth, Women and Person with Disabilities

 2. KSB/T/7/2014/15 Supply of Design and Printing Services. Youth, Women and Person with Disabilities

 3. KSB/T/8/2014/15 Supply and Maintenance of Computer Hardware and Software

 4. KSB/T/9/2014/15 Provision of Cleaning Services (Carpet, wet area and Garbage Collection) Youth, Women and Person with Disabilities

 Firms interested in being considered should collect tender documents as follows;

 a)            For Insurance Brokerage Services, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000.00.

 c)            Prequalification are free of charge

           From the office of the Purchasing Officer, Kenya Sugar Board Headquarters, Sukari Plaza, Upper Kabete off Waiyaki Way during working hours, i.e. Monday to Friday between 8.00 am – 1.00 p.m. and 2.00 p.m.- 5.00 p.m.

Completed Tender Documents should be deposited in the Tender box situated at the reception of Kenya Sugar Board Headquarters on or before Friday, 6th    June, 2014at 11.00 a.m. Bulky tender documents, which cannot go through the slot of the Tender box, should be delivered to the office of the Purchasing Officer, Ground Floor before the above stipulated date and time.

Tenders will be opened at 11.20 a.m. local time, on Friday, 6th    June, 2014 at the KSB Boardroom. Tenderers or their authorized representatives may attend the tender opening.

Late tenders shall be rejected.
